1. Introduction

BAL MILAP – Face Scan (Google Play package: com.tpl.facescan, available at balmilap.com) is a child safety application developed by HOMENTO SERVICE PRIVATE LIMITED, designed to help parents and guardians protect children from getting lost, and to assist in reuniting missing children with their families using AI-powered face recognition.

We are deeply committed to the safety, dignity, and protection of every child. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) on our platform.

Zero Tolerance

2. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

BAL MILAP – Face Scan by HOMENTO SERVICE PRIVATE LIMITED strictly and explicitly prohibits any content, behavior, or activity that constitutes Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including but not limited to:

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — any image, video, or content that sexually exploits minors.
Grooming — any attempt by an adult to build a relationship with a child for the purpose of exploitation or abuse.
Sexual solicitation of minors — any communication that solicits sexual acts from or with a child.
Trafficking of minors — any facilitation of the trafficking, sale, or exploitation of children.
Exploitation content — any content that normalizes, glorifies, or promotes the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.

Any user found engaging in or facilitating CSAE will be immediately banned, and the incident will be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Indian CyberCrime Portal (cybercrime.gov.in).

3. How SafeScan / Balmilap Works

Our app allows parents and guardians to register children's profiles (with photos and guardian contact information) so that if a child is ever lost, a verified scanner can identify the child and immediately alert the registered guardians.

All child profiles are created and managed only by verified, registered parents/guardians.
Photos of children are used solely for face-recognition-based identification in emergency situations.
No child's data is shared publicly or with third parties for any commercial or non-safety purpose.
Scanner access requires OTP verification to prevent unauthorized use.
The platform is designed exclusively for child safety — not for social networking or content sharing.

Data Protection

4. Child Data Protection Standards

Children's photos and personal information are stored securely and encrypted.
Data is accessible only to the registered parent/guardian and authorized emergency responders.
We do not sell, rent, or share children's data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
Parents can delete their child's profile and all associated data at any time.
We comply with applicable data protection laws including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023.

If you encounter any content or behavior on SafeScan / Balmilap that you believe constitutes Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, please report it immediately:

Enforcement

6. Enforcement and Consequences

Violations of these Child Safety Standards will result in:

Immediate suspension or permanent ban of the offending account.
Removal of all offending content from our platform.
Reporting to Indian law enforcement (CyberCrime Portal – cybercrime.gov.in) and international bodies (NCMEC, INTERPOL) as appropriate.
Full cooperation with law enforcement investigations.
